Join us at glorious Claydon Estate in Buckinghamshire on the 18th August 2018 for Barrel of Laps. Carry your barrel around 7 laps (half marathon) and take on our on-course challenges and the first round is on us. 13 laps (full marathon) earns a second drink and a Marathon Session medal. It’s the barrel’s laps that count – not the people!

Kick back at our ma-hoos-ive beer, cider and wine festival with 50 different ales, gallons of fizz, lashings of cider and wine tastings too. With on-site camping all weekend, bell tents and a huge big top tent providing undercover space for the beer, plus our killer music programme (2017 featured the Bon Jovi Experience and live band Avatar), this is a classic weekend in the English countryside you’re not going to want to miss.

The Barrel Run format has been created so that teams of mixed abilities can chose their tactics to get their Barrel around our 2 mile loop as many times as possible in the 8 hours available.

With this in mind it is all about keeping the barrel moving as it is the barrel’s laps that are counted – not individuals. Run as a relay, all together, pairs, trios, whatever. Just leave the carrying to your fit mate, or share it around. It’s your call. Follow the simple rules (see below), complete 7 laps (half marathon) and do each of the 5 on-course challenges once, and EARN YOUR ENTIRE TEAM their first round of beer or fizz.

Complete 13 laps (marathon) and we get the second round in plus the coveted Marathon Session medals are yours. We know what you are thinking. ‘So if I do just one lap I can still get a couple of glasses of beer or fizz and a medal?’ Yes. That’s possible. But no marathon for your barrel = no medal for you!

If the barrel does the distance. Your whole team is rewarded.
